MedTranslate conference is back!

It only took 11 years… but MedTranslate Conference, the international medical translation conference for healthcare, medtech & pharma translators, interpreters and language professionals, is back, organised by eLoc Smart Solutions GmbH.

This event will be held from 6 to 8 October 2025, in Mulhouse, in beautiful Alsace, France – once again in the ‘Dreiländereck’ where Germany, France and Switzerland meet.

Some background info about MedTranslate Conference

The first MedTranslate international medical translation conference was launched in 2014. At the time, I was working as an in-house translator for a German medical LSP as well as for the “Alexandria Library”. I was online training platform for translators that also featured in-person conferences like TriKonf in 2013 and 2015.

I am a medical and life sciences translator myself (English and German into French) and BDÜ member with over 15 years of experience in the translation industry. After having organised, co-organised and attended dozens of international translation conferences between 2009 and 2014, I felt that there was a need for a dedicated, specialist event for us medical translators and I was keen on making it happen – which is how the very first MedTranslate conference came to be which was held in October 2014 in Freiburg, Germany.

It was clear this conference had to become a recurring event, but then life happened (as it tends to do ;)). I moved on professionally, founded eLoc Smart Solutions, motherhood… then COVID happened, and family life, and work, and time flew by. But I never let go of the idea of reviving the MedTranslate conference one day – and finally, at long last, here we are!

We are absolutely thrilled and excited to be organising the MedTranslate conference again!
