Kehl am Rhein

eLoc Smart Solutions GmbH is now headquartered in Kehl am Rhein, just at the border with Strasbourg, France. We are still in Baden-Württemberg, just moved about an hour North!

The reason was the move was private, to get closer to Strasbourg.
We are thrilled to now be headquartered in the Franco-German border area. Kehl am Rhein, situated in southwestern Germany directly across from Strasbourg, France, offers businesses a strategic location at the heart of Europe. This dynamic border city combines the advantages of both German and French markets. As part of the Eurodistrict Strasbourg-Ortenau, Kehl provides businesses with unique cross-border opportunities and a growing economic ecosystem.

The Pont de l’Europe (Europe Bridge) connecting Kehl and Strasbourg stands as a powerful symbol of Franco-German friendship and European integration. First opened in 2004, this distinctive bridge serves both as a vital transportation link and a representation of cross-border cooperation. The modern steel and concrete structure carries vehicular traffic, trams, cyclists, and pedestrians across the Rhine River, physically and symbolically connecting the two nations.

Beyond its practical function, the bridge’s name “Europe Bridge” reflects its deeper significance as a symbol of European unity and reconciliation. This is particularly meaningful given the historically contested nature of this border region. Today, the bridge facilitates daily exchanges between the two cities, with thousands of people crossing for work, shopping, and leisure, embodying the European Union’s principle of free movement.
