Our donations for this year

2021 is about to end, and as tradition goes, we at eLoc Smart Solutions made a contribution to a cause we support. This year, we split our yearly donation between two associations we wanted to support for the outstanding work they do – and, like many associations, the COVID-19 pandemic impacted them so they need some extra support.

A donation went to the Emmendingen animal shelter, managed by the association Tierschutzverein Stadt und Landkreis Emmendingen e.V. As you know, animal welfare and protection is a cause we both deeply care about.
Shelters operate on tight budgets while facing ever-increasing demands, yet their work is very important – they provide emergency care, spaying and neutering services, and work tirelessly to match pets with loving homes. They also help control stray animal populations and provide education about responsible pet ownership. Whether through donations, volunteering, or adopting a pet, every mark of support helps ensure they can continue their vital work. Even small contributions can make a significant difference – providing food, vet care, or basic supplies for animals in need. Animal shelters mostly depend on donations to keep running, feeding and caring for the animals. By supporting local animal shelters, we all can help ensuring that abandoned, lost or mistreated animals have a chance.

And another donation went to the local heritage society of our village close to Emmendingen, the Heimatverein Windenreute. This local association works to preserve the local village’s heritage and patrimony. They aim to foster a vibrant village community and actively shape it through both historical and modern themes.

And on a personal level, this year we continued to support Ein Zuhause für Tiere e.V. every month by sponsoring a cat there, she is called Slawa and is blind. Being a sponsor means financially supporting her feed, vaccines and running expenses. EZfT is always looking for sponsors for the cats they save and shelter to offer them a better life, feel free to reach out if you want to give a hand!
